Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions Policy
The Eurasian Journal of Science and Engineering (EAJSE) is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. The journal adheres to a transparent process for addressing post-publication issues, including corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.
- Corrections (Errata and Corrigenda)
- Minor errors that do not affect the scientific validity of a paper (e.g., typographical errors, author name corrections, minor data errors) may be corrected through an erratum or corrigendum.
- Corrections are published promptly, linked to the original article, and clearly labeled as such.
- Expressions of Concern
- If there are potential issues affecting the integrity or reliability of a published article, but investigations are ongoing or inconclusive, the journal may issue an expression of concern.
- This notice informs readers that concerns have been raised and that further clarification is pending.
- Retractions
- Articles may be retracted if there is clear evidence that findings are unreliable due to misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism), honest error, ethical violations, or other serious breaches of publication standards.
- Retractions are issued in consultation with the authors, editors, and, where appropriate, the institution(s) involved.
- The retracted article remains accessible with a clear retraction notice explaining the reason(s) for retraction.
- Process for Handling Post-Publication Issues
- Any post-publication concern raised by authors, readers, or third parties should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief.
- The editorial team evaluates the concern, consults reviewers or independent experts if needed, and communicates with the authors.
- The Editor-in-Chief makes decisions regarding corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in consultation with the editorial board.
- Transparency and Accountability
- All corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions are published transparently, linked to the original article, and indexed appropriately.
- The journal ensures that actions taken uphold the integrity of the scholarly record while treating all parties fairly and confidentially during investigations.
